What changed
Setting up a tournament means moving it through stages: drafting it, opening sign-ups, closing the roster, playing, and finally calling the results. Until now those stages were six near-identical buttons with no explanation, and picking the wrong one quietly did nothing at all. This update makes every stage say what it is, what it does to your players, and whether you can pick it.

Every stage now explains itself
Open Admin Settings on a tournament you organise and the status is a card rather than a button: the stage the tournament is in, and a line telling you what that means for the people playing it. Tap it and every stage is listed with its own explanation.
- Draft. Only you can see it, while you finish setting it up.
- Published. Players can see the date, course and details, but nobody can sign up yet.
- Registration Open. Players can find the tournament and sign up, to your player limit.
- Registration Closed. Sign-ups are closed and the roster is locked, so you can build the tee sheet from a fixed field.
- Completed. Play is over, the final leaderboard and everyone's position are saved, and handicaps are updated.
- Archived. Tidied out of active lists, with results and history kept and still counting towards rankings.

Stages you cannot pick are greyed out, with the reason
Some moves were never possible. A tournament that has finished cannot go back to open registration, a cancelled one cannot be reopened, and going live has to happen from the tournament screen so scoring and live leaderboards are set up properly.
Before, all of those looked available. You tapped one, and nothing happened. Now they are greyed out with a short line saying why, and Archived is offered, which is the one move a finished tournament can make. It is a way to clear old events out of your active list without losing the results.

When a change cannot save, the app says so
This started with a real problem: marking a tournament as completed could fail and still look like it had worked. If a change cannot go through, you now get told which of these it is.
- You are not the organiser or an admin of the hosting tribe.
- The tournament has already finished or been cancelled, so its results are final.
- Your EFT banking details are incomplete, which blocks saving any change.
- The connection dropped.
A cancelled tournament is no longer a dead end
A cancelled or rescheduled tournament used to end on a plain notice. It now looks like the rest of the app, and where there are other tournaments in your tribes that you could still join, they are offered right underneath, so a cancellation points you at your next game instead of nowhere.
