In-app chat: message your rivals and tribe challengers

Trash talk needs somewhere to live. SwingTribe now has in-app chat, so the rivalry you started on a reel and the tribe challenge you just accepted each get their own thread. Agree a tee time, set the stakes, and keep the banter going right up to the first tee.

What's new

Threads for rivalries and tribe challenges

Every conversation is either a one-to-one thread (for a head-to-head rivalry) or a group thread (for a tribe challenge). The Messages list shows them together, newest activity first, with an unread badge so you know where the action is. Group threads label each message with its sender so a busy challenge chat stays readable.

Reachable from your notifications

Open Messages straight from the header of the notifications panel. When someone messages you, a notification lands in your feed and taps through directly to that thread, so a reply is never more than one tap away. To keep your feed calm, a thread raises a single standing unread notification rather than one ping per message.

Everywhere you play

Chat ships on both the web app and the native iOS and Android apps, with the same conversations list, thread view, and notification routing on each. New messages ride the existing push pipeline, so they reach your phone the same way tournament and tribe alerts already do.

Good to know

This is the first cut. Messages are delivered reliably, but a thread refreshes when you open it rather than streaming in live, and the way to start a brand new thread is by challenging a rival or accepting a tribe challenge rather than composing from scratch. Live updates and a start-new composer are next.
